I was inspired by a book that I am reading called "Growing up with the Impressionists" and the entire book has the story of Julie Manet's diary entries. Who is she? She's the daughter of Impressionist artist Berthe Morisot and Eugene Manet (brother of Edouard Manet). Julia was 16 here and she was also a painter. Her entries are about her time spent with most of the prominant Impressionist artists of their time. She was born in 1878 and the book includes a lot of history, including political. I was so inspired and wanted to paint Julie and used this ref. photo from when she was 16.
